Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Leadership Eastside ("LE", "we", "us") operates the LE Member Portal at portal.leadershipeastside.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the portal and stay in touch with our community.

Information we collect

  • Account details you give us when you register or are invited: name, pronouns, email, phone, employer, title, and your relationship to LE (alumni/year, board, staff, volunteer, etc.).
  • Profile content you choose to add: photo, bio, links, and additional relationships. You control whether each field is visible to other members or kept private.
  • Activity on the portal: posts and messages you send in channels and DMs, RSVPs, library uploads, and read/unread state.
  • Operational logs: sign-in events, email delivery records, and basic server logs used to keep the portal running and secure.

How we use it

  • To operate the portal — sign-in, member directory, calendar, channels, DMs, and the resource library.
  • To send portal-related email: invitations, password resets, event notices, and digest summaries you've opted into.
  • To keep the LE community informed about programs, events, and alumni activity.
  • To keep accounts and content safe (spam, abuse, and security investigations).

Who can see your information

Your profile is visible to other signed-in LE members by default. You can mark individual fields private from your profile page. LE staff and portal admins can see all member data to administer accounts and provide support. We do not sell member information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Service providers

We use a small number of vendors to run the portal: a cloud host (Hetzner) for the server, a transactional email provider for portal messages, and Google Calendar to sync LE events. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Retention

We keep account and content data for as long as you have an active account. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your profile and personal details; posts in shared channels may remain attributed to "former member" unless you ask us to remove them as well.

Your choices

  • Edit or remove profile fields at any time on your profile page.
  • Mark fields private so they're hidden from the member directory.
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential email through links in those messages.
  • Ask us to export or delete your data by emailing the address below.

Security

The portal is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and access is limited to authenticated members. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.

Children

The LE Portal is intended for adults; it is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the portal. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
